County reports four new cases of COVID-19 Thursday

Gonzales County reported four new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, August 13, 2020, according to data from the Department of State Health Services.

This brings the total number of cases in the county to 722, with 40 active cases and 674 estimated to have recovered. There have also been 8 deaths reported in the county.

Across Texas, the number of reported cases of coronavirus is generally decreasing with spikes every few days. On Thursday, the state reported 6,755 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, with no new deaths. Deaths related to COVID-19 are done so retroactively by submission of death certificates, so this is subject to change.

For every 1,000 Texans, there are 17.31 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
