Cooper Wayne Vecera

Posted

Infant Cooper Wayne Vecera was tenderly swaddled by a host of angels on Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, and with a whisper of flight, the angels carried him to heaven as in Matthew 19:14 Jesus said in part, “Let the little children come to me, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Cooper knew well the love of his mother Alyssa Ann McFadin Vecera as she carried him in her womb with gentle pats of love and assurances that her love for him was immeasurable. Dreams of an adoring family with his father Ethan Ryan Vecera were promised and celebrated with every breath. Visions of Cooper nestled in his mommy’s arms, safe and warm with coos of contentment and dreams from his daddy playing catch in the yard with his son are sadly lost but will not be forgotten.  For it was love that made Cooper and love as defined in Corinthians 13:7 “Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” Love for Cooper remains strong and steadfast in the hearts of his mommy and daddy and Cooper is sharing his love for them with his heavenly host.

Cooper Wayne Vecera is survived by his adoring family, mommy and daddy, Alyssa Ann and Ethan Ryan Vecera; grandparents, Jerry and Jan McFadin, Annette and Greg Philippus, Daniel and Sandra Boenig, Bruce and Hollye Vecera; great-grandparents, Delton and Linda Bishop, Gilbert and Mary Lou Philippus, Kathleen Bowman, Hilmar Louis and Margaret Mondin, Victor “Central” Vecera; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Cooper will be met in heaven by those that preceded him there, Deborah Ann Bishop, Archie McFadin, Sandra Varner, Norman and Norma Boenig, and Doris Vecera.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28 in the Monthalia Methodist Cemetery with Pastor Paul Smith and Chaplain Tom Jones officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Trent Vecera, Ashley McFadin, Fallon Boenig, Dylan McFadin, Mandie Molnoskey, Sibil Philippus and Brant Philippus.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chaplain’s Services at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center. Friends may leave their condolences by visiting www.seydlerhillfuneralhome.com. Services are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.
