The City of Seguin is orchestrating a third Mass Food Distribution at the Seguin Coliseum for Thursday, July 16 to provide 1,000 families with a two-week supply of food.

Anyone who needs food is encouraged by the city to register for the event to receive a free two-week supply of food at the distribution from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Coliseum parking lot at 950 S. Austin Street in Seguin. To register online, visit https://nbfoodbank.org/cvresponse. To register by phone, call 830-327-6000 or 830-401-1360 between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The deadline to register is Wednesday, July 15 at 12 p.m. noon.

The underwriting of this distribution was assisted by a grant from Tyson Foods as part of their hunger relief commitment.

City of Seguin Public Information Officer Jennifer Sourdellia recommends bringing a cooler to transport goods, such as a “variety of vegetables, dairy and protein,” home in the heat.

The city also seeks volunteers for the event. To register as a volunteer, visit the registration link above or call 830-401-1306.

This distribution is open to anyone seeking assistance, but registration is required to receive it.
