Christina M. (Molina) Perez, 87, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 20 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on Monday, March 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Stan Fiuk officiating. Interment will follow at Saint James Catholic Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church prior to the Mass. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 24 at Buffington Funeral Home.

Christina was born in Gonzales, Texas on June 23, 1931. She was the daughter of Francisco and Isabella (Cantu) Molina. She married Rudolph Perez Jr. on Dec. 12, 1953 in Seguin, Texas. Christina was a caring and loving mother and grandmother. She loved playing with her grandchildren. She liked cooking for the family. She enjoyed caring for her flower garden. Christina was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and the Guadalupana’s, and choir.

Christina is survived by four sons; Rudy Perez III and his wife, Ofelia of Schertz, Texas, Mike Perez and his wife, Anna of San Antonio, Texas, Andrew Perez and his wife, Rose of Gonzales, Texas, Edward Perez of Houston, Texas, three daughters; Elizabeth Christian of Gonzales, Texas, Mary Jane Johnson of Gonzales, Texas, Martha Espinosa of Gonzales, Texas, 17 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Francisco and Isabella Molina, husband; Rudolph Perez Jr., three sisters; Vicki Flores, Alexandra Mendoza, and Elena Sarzertuche.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Perez will be; Chris Perez, Jeffery Perez, Oscar Flores, Aaron Perez, Rick Flores, and Bryan Daugherty.
