The Gonzales County Voter Registrar mailed new voter registration certificates in December 2019 to all active registered voters in Gonzales County. Numerous certificates were returned to us by the post office. Due to Election Code requirements voter registration certificates are not forwardable material and must be returned to us. If your certificate is returned, you are coded as a “suspense” voter and mailed a confirmation notice. You need to respond to the confirmation notice so that we may update your address.
If you have not received a new orange certificate valid Jan. 1, 2020 – Dec. 31, 2021, you are urged to contact the Voter Registrar as soon as possible. If you wish to vote in the March Primary Election, you must be registered to vote and have made any change to your name and/or address by Monday, Feb. 3, 2020.
If you have moved or changed your mailing address, please update your address prior to the Feb. 3 deadline.
If you have married or divorced, please update your name prior to the Feb. 3 deadline.
