Charles Lee Compton Sr. passed through this life on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 at the age of 84 years young. He was born Nov. 20, 1933 in Sasakwa, Okla.

He was a proud member of the Muskogee Creek Indian Tribe, and a man of many talents: Military Veteran, Truck Driver, Fisherman, Welder, Farmer, Oil Worker and Jewelry maker just to name a few. He was a member of the Emmanuel Fellowship Church in Gonzales, TX prior to moving to Cibolo where he enjoyed his last few years with his loving nephew, Chris, and his wife, Debra.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wayne Compton and Ola Mae Jozwiak, two former wives, Jackie & Nadine, three brothers (Bobby and Mike Calhoun and Cliff Compton), daughter Angelina and son Charles Compton Jr. He is survived by his brothers John Jozwiak of Baker, La., Odus Compton of Shawnee, Ok., sister Nanette Compton Moore of Broken Arrow, Ok, daughter Sharon (Toy) Chapman of Smiths, AL., son Gregory Compton of Wichita Falls, Tx, son Charles Lee Fare of Jacksonville, FL, and children Rosie, Kent & Scott of Arizona. Also survived by his granddaughters Tonya Duke of Panama, FL, Summer Mamoran of Chipley, FL, Jackie Rae Owens of Montgomery, AL Samantha Davis and Bailey; grandsons Jimmie Duke of Panama City, FL, Jason & Dan, Mason & Nicolas Compton of Wichita Falls, TX, 8 great grandchildren & 3 great-great grandchildren, also numerous nephews and nieces, including his nephew Chris Compton (Deb) and nieces Becky Compton Pereira & Misti Compton DuBoise, and his sister-in-law Pat Compton.

A memorial will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m. at the Emmanuel Fellowship Church in Gonzales, TX. Any memorials may be made to Emmanuel Fellowship Church.
