Carmen Sanchez Camacho

Carmen Sanchez Camacho, 65, of Luling, died Friday, January 24, 2003 in Austin. She was born in Luling on June 29, 1937 to the late Delphino and Lilly Davila Sanchez. She married to the late Joe Garza Camacho on October 17, 1953 in Seguin. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Altar Society, Guadalupanas, St. John's Choir and Eucharist Ministry.

Survivors include one daughter, Debra Threse and husband Spencer Ainsworth; three sons, Joe G. Camacho of Luling, Patrick J. Camacho of San Francisco, California and Edgar B. and wife Rhonda Camacho of Harwood; 12 grandchildren; six sisters, Rose DeLeon of San Marcos, Pauline Salas, Florence Rivera, Otilia Gonzales and Deanna McClure, all of Luling, and Lupe Smith of Austin; two brothers, Robert Sanchez of Round Rock and Delphino Sanchez of Lockhart.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. Jesse Eureste and Fr. Fred Chalupa officiating. Interment followed at the Luling Community Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Walter Smith, Joe DeLeon, Thomas Gonzales, Brayde McClure, Moses Salas and Danny Rivera.

O'Bannon Funeral Home of Luling was in charge of arrangements.
