Breweries, vineyards announced for festival

Organizers of the 2nd Annual Gonzales Inquirer Come and Taste It Craft Beer and Wine Festival set to take place from April 26-27 have announced that over 12 different breweries featuring over 75 craft beers and three different local wineries will be on hand at this year’s extravaganza.

Headlining the list of breweries attending is Shiner Beer as it will be bringing its full line of beer to Gonzales again in 2019. Hartman Distributing, the Shiner distributor out of Victoria, will be on hand and will also make their Coors line of beer available to non-craft beer devotees. Other breweries who will be hand include Seguin Brewing Company, Thirsty Planet, Freetail, Bells Brewery, Karboch, Revolver, SB Brewing and more.

The three wineries that will have wine available include San Ducerro Winery, Majek Vineyard and Winery and Moravia Vineyard and Winery. They will have 12 different varietals to sample in the wine tent.

Tickets are on sale, with VIP tickets for both days limited to 150 tickets. The VIP ticket enables the ticketholder to attend the Taste of Gonzales on Friday night from 6 to 10 p.m. with music provided by Gabe Gallardo. It also gives VIP holder entry into Saturday’s event along with complimentary mug, sampling glass, and beer sampling tickets.

Saturday-only tickets are still available and entitle the ticket holder to entry into the festival, a complimentary mug and pour glass, and beer sampling tickets.

New this year will be a separate wine tent for wine enthusiasts, along with a courtyard featuring corn hole play and a dominoes table.

Organizers have also announced that O.S. Grant will open the show on Saturday and will play from 1 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. Grant will be followed to the stage by Bethany Becker’s band out of Austin, Texas at 2:30 p.m., the Oliver White Group at 4:30 p.m., and the Hot Attacks at 8 p.m.

Sponsors for the event include Shiner, Hartman Distributing, David Stewart Trucking, Mark Pravel Insurance Brokerage, Ken Stewart Trucking, Texas Benefit Solutions, Mi Academy, Something More Media, Running M Bar and Grill, Baker Boys BBQ, Kitchen Pride and Flare Energy Services.
