Arturo Reyes

Arturo Reyes, 52, of Angleton, passed away suddenly on Friday, Aug. 24, 2018 in Waelder.

Cremation rites are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, Sept. 7 at 5 p.m. at Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Waelder with Father Mike Peinemann officiating. Visitation will be from 1- 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7 at Buffington Funeral Home.

Arturo was born in Flatonia on Dec. 3, 1965. He was the son of Ventura and Julia (Bursiaga) Reyes. He was a hardworking employee of J & B Sausage Company Inc. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and being a devoted grandfather.  

Arturo is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sylvia Garcia; daughter, Aimee Reyes; grandchildren, Andruw Reyes, Kenneth Cosme III, and Natalee Cosme; siblings, Josie Herrera, Dominga Castro, Virginia Reyes, Margie Martinez, Joe Angel Reyes, Gloria Toro, Estela Vega, Gina Reyes, Idella Brown, Norma Reyes, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Pedro Reyes; and sister Victoria Reyes.
