Allen finishes 26th in state debut

MARBLE FALLS — Gonzales sophomore Kiley Allen made her golf state tournament debut this week, competing in the UIL Class 4A tournament at Slick Rock Golf Course at Horseshoe Bay.
Allen’s two-day total of 174 strokes (86 on the first day, 88 on the second day) was good for tied at 26th with Liberty Hill’s Arrianna Rocha, Mabank’s Elizabeth Hardy and Zapata’s Daniella Hernandez.
Taking first overall was Bohyun Park of Carrollton Ranchview who finished with 137 strokes, 67 on the first day and 70 on the second. Taking second was Frisco Lebanon Trail’s Madison Phung with 150 strokes.
A total of 72 golfers competed at the meet.
