Alamo needs Gonzales’ help once more

The Alamo is once again calling out for Gonzales’ help.

Just like Colonel Travis’ call in 1836 to come to the aid of the besieged defenders of the Alamo, the Alamo is once again looking for another Immortal 32 to volunteer for a re-enactment.

On March 1, the Alamo is planning on hosting a re-enactment of the arrival of the Immortal 32 men from Gonzales who marched to certain death to aid their fellow Texans in San Antonio. They are looking for 32 people to volunteer to participate, and the City Tourism Director wants all 32 volunteers to come from Gonzales.

“The Alamo has called out for our help again, and I hope we can answer their call for help,” said Clint Hille. “The re-enactment is at the Alamo on Friday, March 1, and they need 32 people to participate. Anyone who is interested can contact me at the city and I’ll give them all the details and the times and what-not. If interested, please call me at the city at 672-2815. We’d love to have you.”
