Adolph “Fito” Obiedo, 71, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 5, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Visitation: 5 p.m. Sunday with the rosary at 7 p.m. at Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: 1 p.m. Monday at the Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Fito was born Dec. 6, 1947 in Gonzales, Texas to Eusebio and Gregoria Obiedo. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam War veteran. He also served in the Army National Guard Reserves for 16 years after his active duty military service. He was proud to serve our country and continued to support our troops and his fellow veterans. Fito retired from Lockheed Martin after 33 years in transportation. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and proud of his birthplace, Gonzales, home of the “Come and Take It.” He never met a stranger and he cherished all his friendships dearly.

Fito was preceded in death by his parents, Eusebio and Gregoria.

Survivors: Wife, Elizabeth; daughters, Angela (Ismael) and Christina; sons, Roman (Socorro), John and Adolph Jr. (Liz); 13 grandchildren, Daniel, Benjamin, Megan, Roman Jr., John Jr., Richard, Liliana, Venus, Sierra, Isaac, Joshua, Alexandra and Caylee; 10 great-grandchildren, Liam, Mathayus, Isayah, Jeremyah, Nora, Anabelle, Izaeah, Adriel, Nevaeh and Elijah; and brother, Armando.
