3 Lady Apaches name to first-team all district

Three Lady Apaches were named to the District 29-4A girls soccer first team after their stellar performance this season that propelled Gonzales to third place and a postseason spot.

Veronica Moreno, Sam Gallegos and goalkeeper Abigayle Belin were named to the first team.

Sandra Palacios was named to the second team.

Brittney Villegas, Emma Hernandez, Natalya Cruz and Briana Gomez were all honorably mentioned.

The Lady Apaches finished District 29-4A with a 1-4-1 record, losing in the bi-district round against Rockport-Fulton.
