Unequal treatment in youth football

Posted

Editor,

Have the citizens of Gonzales notice the way the coaches of our Senior League Football team show discrimination toward certain kids. All kids playing pay the same amount to be trained to play yet when the games are played they only play certain kids even if they didn’t go to practice. The same kids get played every quarter they might be tired but the coaches don’t consider this, only winning. Kids stand on the sideline forgotten, promised that they will be played yet forgotten that they are there isn’t this a form of bullying, discrimination making the kids not wanting to play next year because they know that even if they practice every day only certain kids are given a chance. Its bad that everyone’s money is good enough for the coaches but not everyone’s kid.
