Reader calls for class action lawsuit

Posted

It is time for the citizens of Gonzales County to rally around the flag pole and enter into a class-action lawsuit against the Gonzales County Water Supply Corporation!

The State of Texas has informed the Gonzales Country Water Supply Corporation (GCWSC) that they have been in violation of monitoring and reporting requirements set by Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) in chapter 30, Section 290, Subchapter F. Public water systems are required to monitor for Lead and Copper and report the results of that monitoring to the TTCEQ During 2014, GCWSC did not complete all monitoring and/or reporting for lead and copper, TCEQ cannot be sure of the safety of your drinking water during that time. And the question is WHY NOT????

Why has GCWSC ignored their duties and failed to inform their customers of this serious breach of state regulations for well over one year? The answer is simple. It is a clear lack of concern by the GCWSC management to simply follow the rules! Here we are in February of 2015 and I, for one, have not received any notice and neither has anyone else! The presence of Lead in drinking water is very serious, especially to young children. We need to take action NOW!

How about it Gonzales lawyers. Let’s get together and form a team and file a class action suit against GCWSC. I can assure you that you will have a multitude of citizens wanting to e part of that action.
