Peter Munoz Mireles

Peter Munoz Mireles, 81, of Cost, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 18 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Cremation Rites are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas. A Private Family Memorial Service will be at a later date.

Peter was born on October 25, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of Enise and Carmen Mireles. He married Gloria Sandoval in 1958. Peter served in the US Army. After his service to our country, Peter began his career as a Model Designer for Chicago Display. He was employed by Chicago Design for 34 years until his retirement. Peter liked to play golf and go fishing. He enjoyed designing and building some unique bird houses.

Peter is survived by his wife; Gloria Mireles of the home, two sons; Michael Mireles and his wife, Karen of Houston, Texas, Billy Mireles of Cost, Texas, one sister; Rachel Mireles of Chicago, Illinois, one sister-in-law; Elia Sandoval, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; Enise and Carmen Mireles, two sons; Peter Mireles Jr., Marcus Luke Mireles, one brother; Doug Michael Mireles, two sisters; Matilda “Tillie” Fernandez and Connie Dominguez.
