Miguel Camarillo

Miguel Camarillo, 86, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 22 at the Heights of Gonzales in Gonzales, Texas.

Funeral mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on Wednesday, March 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Paul Raaz officiating. A rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. prior to the mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be from noon until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Miguel was born on September 26, 1930 in Cost, Texas. He was the son of Ancension and Herlinda (Longoria) Camarillo. He married Margarita Herrera, and together, they raised four children. Miguel worked as a plumber, and everyone new him as “Plumber Mike”.

Miguel is survived by one son; Miguel Camarillo of Gonzales, Texas, three daughters; Martha Castaneda and her husband, Jesus of LaGrange, Texas, Maria Vara and her husband, Jerry of Austin, Texas, Margarita Mendez and her husband, David of Waupaca, Wisconsin, one brother; Victor Camarillo of Dallas, Texas, one sister; Victoria Martinez of Bay City, Texas, fifteen grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Ancension and Herlinda Camarillo, an infant son, two brothers; Santos Camarillo and Juan Camarillo.

Pallbearers for Mr. Camarillo will be; Albert Camarillo, John Castaneda, Michael Camarillo, Mike Camarillo, Mike Castillo, and Frankie Venegas.
