Margaret Frances “Jeanie” Fitzhugh, 58, of Gonzales, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015. Margaret was born June 19, 1957 in Gonzales to Elmo and Dora Sattlewhite Fitzhugh. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Margaret Jeanie was always the person family members would call in times of difficulty; she was the go to person for everything.  She loved Thanksgiving and Christmas because she could surround herself with her family that she so dearly loved.

Margaret Jeanie was one of those people that never spoke an ill word towards or about anyone.  She loved and cared for all people, she was a natural nurturer.

She loved tending to her plants and caring for birds and frogs. She never wanted her children to fight. She prayed they would just get along and care for one another, an example of which she lived every day of her life. She believed in children. She genuinely believed that if they tried hard enough all of them could be astronauts. Margaret Jeanie’s heart was one filled with unconditional love and an undeniable faith.

Margaret Jeanie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Maggie Elaine and Robert Juarez of Gonzales; sons and a daughter-in-law, Jaime Gloria, John Gloria, David and Robin Gloria all of Gonzales, Fernando and Yvonne Gloria of Luling, Raul Camacho and Marcus Fitzhugh, all of Gonzales; sisters, Rebecca Gonzales and Tammy Rhodes, both of Gonzales; brothers, Ronnie Gonzales and Roy Gonzales of Gonzales and Ted Sattlewhite of Kentucky; grandchildren, Marissa Gloria, Mariah Gloria, David Gloria, Jr., Brittany Gloria, Jaime Gloria, Jr., Kaleb Gloria, Ariana Camacho, Andrea Hernandez, Ana Gloria, Josh Banda, Greg Cabrera, Jr.,  Adon Cabrera, Dylan Banda, Joley Rodriguez, Rafael Gloria and Ruby Gloria.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lori Gonzales and Rachel Gonzales and a brother, Johnny Holcomb.
