Stewart D. Hervey

Stewart D. Hervey, Jr., 91, of Luling, died on April 15, 2015. He was born May 18, 1923, the son of Stewart D. Hervey, Sr. He married Bernice Morgan on Oct. 24, 1943 in Weatherford and she passed Sept. 9, 2004. He then married Karen L. Kirkpatrick on Aug. 14, 2007 in Gonzales.

Stewart served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post #177.

He is survived by his wife; brother, Joe Hervey; daughter, Heidi Hervey of Yoakum; son, Paul Morgan Hervey of Mooresville, S.C.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services were April 15 at 2 p.m. in O’Bannon Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Lammers officiating. He was buried in Luling Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of O’Bannon Funeral Home, 2105 Laurel St., Luling, 875-5713.
