Adolph Robert Novosad, Sr. age 77, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 4.

He was born on December 8, 1935 in Shiner to Joseph and Mary Pekar Novosad.

He worked at McCoy's Building Supply Center and was a farmer/rancher all his adult life. He was a member of Sts Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, member of K.J.T. #20 and Central Association of the Miraculous Medal (Promoter).

Survivors include wife, Annette Fikac Novosad; sons, Quentin Novosad and wife Patsy and Adolph Novosad, Jr. and wife Holly; daughter, Lynette Pesek and husband Darryl all of Shiner; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Wenske of Moulton, Ann Kocian of Shiner, and Margaret Surman of League City; brothers, Paul Novosad and Bennie Novosad both of Shiner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward, Edwin, Frank, John and Joe Novosad.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. on Tuesday , Aug. 6 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home in Yoakum, Texas.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Shiner Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Adolph Novosad, III, Nicholas Novosad, Stephen Novosad, Garrett Novosad, Devin Pesek, John Picha and Tim Decker, Jr.

Memorial contributions may be given to Shiner Catholic School, Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Hospice of South Texas or donor's choice.
