Alejandro Lopez Rodriguez

Alejandro Lopez Rodriguez, 19, of Gonzales passed away due to a car accident in Nixon.

Funeral mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales and will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Burial will follow at Saint James Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales. A rosary was recited at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. with Deacon Alfonso Moreno officiating.

Alejandro was born on April 12, 1996 in Yuriria, GTO, Mexico. He was the son of Saul and Adelina (Rodriguez) Lopez. He liked to play video games, especially “Clash of Clans,” soccer, talking on the phone with his girlfriend and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his grandparents, Jose Rodriguez and Francisca Corona of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Fidencio Lopez and Esther Serrato of Yuriria, GTO, Mexico, his parents; Saul and Adelina Lopez., one brother; Jose Lopez and his wife, Mariana of Gonzales; sisters, Yaneth  Bedolla and her husband, Luis of Winston-Salem, N.C., Elizabeth Bedolla of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Rocio Lopez of Gonzales. He was preceded in death by brother, Fidencio Lopez.
