GONZALES — A New Braunfels woman wound up behind bars last week after police said she was caught driving with meth, weed and drug paraphernalia.

At 11:01 p.m. July 10, Officer Thomas Garza was traveling south on Highway 183 when he saw a car driving with a malfunctioning license plate lamp and pulled the car over, Capt. Allen Taylor reported. The officer identified the driver as Dedrah Marie Ceniceros, 31, of New Braunfels. Officer Ryan was called to the scene and, according to Taylor’s report, officers noticed Ceniceros appeared to be nervous. She was asked to step out of the vehicle, Taylor said.

A search of the car led to the discovery of a small plastic bag containing meth, a glass pipe for smoking meth and a marijuana grinder. Ceniceros admitted the items were hers, according to the report.

“A further search of the vehicle revealed more meth, as well as a digital scale containing what appeared to be meth residue,” Taylor noted.

Ceniceros was arrested and taken to Gonzales County Jail. She is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and manufacture/delivery controlled substance in penalty group 1 over 4 grams less than 200 grams.
