GCSO issues statement about recent narcotics arrests

During the past several months investigators from the Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office and Gonzales Police Department have conducted numerous undercover operations at various locations within Gonzales County. These operations have targeted individuals selling and distributing illicit substances which will result in numerous arrests to come. These six search warrants, and eight arrest warrants are only a minor part of an ongoing investigation targeting the sale and distribution of methamphetamines, marijuana and cocaine in Gonzales County.

Narcotics Search Warrants

Gregory Vela III of Nixon , Lisetta Camarillo, Tony Castillo, Natalie Briones , Ashia Lopez, Anastacio “Cha-Chi” Carrizales and Brianna Villareal of Gonzales were arrested on a variety of charges ranging from manufacturing/delivering of a controlled substance penalty group 1 four grams less than 200 grams (both cocaine and methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, endangering/abandoning a child, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a criminal instrument. All were transported to the Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office Jail. Items removed from the locations include seven firearms in which some were found to be stolen, body armor (bullet proof vest) along with a large amount of cash, two vehicles, and several other items. These items are believed to be gained and purchased from the illegal sales of narcotics.

Narcotic Delivery Warrants

On September 29, Gonzales Police Department and Gonzales Sheriff’s Office executed several Narcotic arrest warrants for manufacturing and delivering of Narcotics ranging from State Jail to 2nd degree felonies. Arrested were, Kenneth Wade Hill, Anthony Gomez, Adrian Lopez, James Matthew Garner, Jeon Martinez, Ronnie Holcombe, Isaiah Camarillo and Keyjonia Franklin were also arrested on Possession of Marijuana Probation Violations.

The Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office and the Gonzales Police Department want to thank Gonzales I.S.D. Police and Gonzales County Attorney’s Office for the assistance in the execution of the warrants along with the citizens of Gonzales County for the hundreds of tips. We are sending this message to the drug dealers who are pushing this poison into our communities and to our youth. The citizens of Gonzales County do not want you here, WE do not want you here, and with the public’s help we will catch you.
