GONZALES – The legal process continued Tuesday for Belinda Walker, Anna West and Lajuane Clark, each of whom received trial reset dates during proceedings before Judge William Old’s 25th Judicial District Court.

Walker, the former Gonzales parks secretary who is charged with 13 counts of theft by a public servant, received a trial reset date of Sept. 24. Walker, 52, was terminated by the city of Gonzales in July, 2011, for allegedly misappropriating as much as $250,000 during a span of more than two years.

West, 33, received a trial reset date of Feb. 13, 2014, but will have the option to enter into a plea bargain on Jan. 22. She is charged with the Feb. 18, 2012, shooting of David Dubose, 48. Authorities said West shot Dubose in a remote area of a pasture south of Gonzales where the two had been working to get a truck unstuck.

Clark, 37, received confirmation of a jury trial date of Oct. 15. Clark, 37, faces charges that stem from an onslaught of alleged raucous behavior in September, 2012, that began at Gonzales Community Health Center and came to an end in the lobby of the sheriff ’s office.

Clark is alleged to have been intoxicated when he began driving around various parts of town, causing numerous disturbances including yelling in the parking lot of the Gonzales Community Health Center, discharging a firearm in a residential area, crashing into a parked Department of Public Safety car and stripping naked and yelling obscenities in the lobby of the sheriff ’s office.
