Area man dies in two-vehicle accident

A two-vehicle accident Friday morning resulted in the death of an area man.
Authorities said 82-year old Earl Franklin Wyatt of Yoakum was pronounced dead at the scene of a collision on US Hwy 183 South.
According to a report issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety at approximately 10 miles south at Hamon Community, Wyatt, who was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck, failed to yield right-of-way coming off of County Road 302 and was struck by an oncoming 18-wheeler tractor trailer.
Bobby Lee Burleson, the driver of the 18-wheeler, was uninjured.
