GISD Board to discuss budget amendments

Changes to the student handbook, the code of conduct and plans for the upcoming budget workshop are on the agenda for the Gonzales Independent School District board of trustees meeting on Tuesday, July 26.

Also on the agenda is possible action on any current budget amendments for the current fiscal year. The board will also schedule the public meetings to take place in August for the 2011-12 proposed budget. They will also list the proposed tax rate. The school district is required to hold a public meeting to allow citizen input on the proposed budget and tax rate for the upcoming school year.

The school board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at the Gonzales Junior High School, 400 N. College. The meeting is open to the public.
