Summer Concert Series winds down Friday

Posted

Friday night will wrap up the third annual Gonzales Main Street Summer Concert Series at Confederate Square with Los Kolaches and Pale Horses kickin’ out the live entertainment.

Los Kolaches, a multi-cultural musical gumbo flavored with melodious ingredients such as Czech., Mex., R & B, Country and Rock & Soul, will share the bill with Pale Horses, a popular live act that encompasses diverse styles of music ranging from  working-class Texas Country to 1970’s punk rock; an uncanny, toe-tapping combination of work ethic and attitude few bands can achieve the way the Horses do. The music will start at 6 p.m.

As always, the show is free. There will also be food, games and arts & crafts. Bring your lawn chairs, but leave your glass containers at home.

Also, don’t forget the July 4th Star Spangled Spectacular out at JB Wells Park. This finale will feature Jake Hooker & The Outsiders, starting at 6 p.m. Check out the massive fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. with music synchronized on KCTI AM 1450.
