Scheske~Wharmby

Mary Scheske and Andrew Wharmby were joined in marriage on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 in Wimberley. Dr. Ronald Bagley and Dr. Alan Ashworth oversaw and officiated the ceremony. Witnesses to the matrimonial vow exchange were Daisy Scheske, sister of the bride, and Sara Wharmby, sister of the groom. The wedding was attended by close family and friends. Afterwards the bride and groom toasted champagne and brunch was served. The brunch menu of eggs benedict casserole, a waffle bar and Juan in a Million tacos was followed by lemon chess and fudge pie from Wimberley Pie Company.

The bride's parents are Robert Scheske and TJ Newberry Scheske of Gonzales and Lynn Silver of Austin. Mary is the granddaughter of Fred and Mary Elizabeth "Goose" Scheske of Gonzales. Mary received her Bachelor's at Texas A&M University in 2006 and now works in web design and communications for the University of Texas at San Antonio.

The groom's parents are Bill and Camille Wharmby of Lake Jackson. Andrew received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas in 2006, going on to complete a Master's and a Ph.D in the same field.

The couple currently reside in San Antonio. Andrew works for the Tri-Service Research Laboratory at Fort Sam Houston and gives talks to mathematicians around the country about his research in his spare time. The bride currently works full-time for The University of Texas at San Antonio and freelances websites, designs, and print products in her spare time.
